I swear you people are the type to see one thing thatâs ultimately the worst thing ever that ends up being deleted and itâs like âRuben Sim⊠If You Hear Us⊠Please Save Us⊠Ruben Simâ, Roblox UGC is manual and they have been only basically checking for NSFW and nothing more the entire time, which people should already be grateful for but itâs like we canât have anything without a serial whiner coming in like itâs the end of the world when an update happens, surely you are ironic but come on, is it enough?

This is an amazing update. But please, lower the price for UGC Free and Paid limiteds. Itâs currently way to expensive and people canât afford it.

This has got to be the biggest dumpster fire of an update Roblox has ever released. Not only a day into the release thereâs been countless 1:1 reuploads of official Roblox items and free models from the toolbox in studio. Letâs not forget about the countless DMCA infringing items too! But even worse than that, thereâs been a handful of NSFW items uploaded too, in turn exposing innocent children to it. Is this really your vision for the marketplace Roblox? Because if so, I feel like whoever is running the marketplace team at Roblox needs to be fired and investigated. This update has only been out for just under 48 at the time of this reply, and itâs already looking like an inevitable marketplace collapse waiting to happen.
About the new R$100 fee per unit for free Limited UGC items, youâve got to be kidding me right? Your vision is to open the marketplace up to more creators but gatekeep it at the same time by raising the fees to unaffordable amounts to most users and even those who are quite established in the scene? Enough said on this topic, thereâs really no defending this new stock fee.
Now letâs talk about the publishing advance fees for normal on sale and paid Limited UGC, youâve got to be out of your mind if you think the publishing fee should be the same for a paid UGC Limited with a stock of 1 or 3,000. By paying a fee of R$20k to simply publish the item, you will not be seeing that R$20k back in rebates unless you jack the prices and stock up to an unreasonable amount. As for standard on sale UGC items, it costs R$1k -R$1.5k to publish them, which is way more fair of a fee to pay mind you, but at the same time, if you take into consideration it costs R$750 to upload an item you will be looking at a fee of R$1.75k - R$2.25 just to get a single item up and then pray it sells to make some of that publishing advance fee back in rebates. With there being as many items as there is now uploaded on an hourly basis it will be way harder for your items to stand out, especially amongst the low effort spam items flooding the marketplace.

This is a recent update, but there have already been a lot of problems.
People have already started posting inappropriate accessories, and some people have started simply bypassing the filter and writing racist names and descriptions.
I still remember when you guys decided to make almost all audios PRIVATE because of copyright issues, I feel it will happen again.
The increased prices have actually delayed Obby Creatorâs UGC reward (for its egg hunt event), which I thought was interesting.
Iâm glad itâs open to more users-even if through a paywall-but the increasing price feels a little constricting. Roblox as a corporation makes enough money as is, donât you think?

I can list a few reasons why this update is absolutely abysmal aside from simply âeveryone can make UGC now.â
-Lack of competent moderation on Robloxâs part
-Direct copies of other peopleâs items being uploaded in droves
-easily abusable takedown request system that can be weaponized in the wrong hands. (the intention for the system was good but thereâs already evidence bad actors are abusing it with strikes towards established creators)
-up to a 500% increase in upload costs in certain scenarios
-per unit upload price of limiteds changed to 100R$ each
-oversaturation of the market
-practically no quality-control anymore
-copyrighted assets being uploaded with no consequence
-bypassed inappropriate items being uploaded
-making the system basically unprofitable to smaller creators while bolstering larger creators and corporations
and thatâs only A FEW issues
