It is low polly so no textures really
Literally OVER 50% of the posts complain about not being able to use Blender and other softwares, so let me just clear something up:
Most people use EXTERNAL software to build. For this challenge, it says NO EXTERNAL SOFTWARE. That’s why it’s called Building Challenge 01. It’s not who has the best software. If it allowed Blender, it would be easier and not a challenge. This is to push Roblox’ building to the maximum to see what masterpieces developers are able to create, strictly in Studio.
If it allowed external software, it might as well just be called “Building Competition 01”, as it wouldn’t be a challenge.

I don’t really use any other software but I do use plugins that we can’t use.
How is it not a challenge when instead of pushing the limits of Roblox Studio, you push the limits of what you can achieve with a combination of both external software and Studio. Using external software can still challenge you.
It would still be a challenge, it just wouldn’t be as hard and unfair to people who don’t know how to use external softwares.
I get what you are saying, but now it’s unfair the other way around? My skills in Blender greatly exceed my capabilities in Studio. In Studio, I am barely able to create a chair that looks decent, while in Blender, I can create whole maps for Roblox games. I don’t see your point.
I think this challenge is meant to push us and Studio to the limits of what can be done.

Yes, but it’s just not really relevant what the limits of studio are. A large amount of games nowadays use meshes and external programs to increase the quality of their game. Roblox studio is supposed to be a platform, like Unity, it’s just not supposed to excel on all aspects of game development. External programs focus on one aspect, like blender is created for 3D modelling, which is the reason it excels at that. Roblox studio is good at being a platform, but it doesn’t excel at anything else, which makes sense. So, I don’t see why they’re trying to make it seem like roblox studio should be or is a capable program to model in.

This challenge is for +13, right?
Lets be honest I don’t think they thought about this Roblox studio is a great tool where people can make good things but it has not reached the level of blender modeling or other stuff theres still so much they need to add before we can make a great game with studio alone unions are a mess and no meshes or plugins makes it worst I won’t be entering this as this seems to be unplanned and practically impossible. I use blender for most low poly things and most developers can agree that low poly without textures or modeling software is a nightmare. I hope the admins can think about this and change something but until then I do not want to enter this. This is just my opinion don’t take it in a bad way.
Personally, using studio is absolutely fine on its own, it’s just a matter of how much time and effort you are prepared to put in to get something good out of it.

Are we allowed to copy/paste back in stuff that was lost but auto-saved?
I’m working with a friend in teamcreate but my progress keeps getting reset since teamcreate doesn’t seem to be publishing…

they are trying to do this event so that they can inprove roblox studio.
Are we allowed to use plugins? It says cannot require plugins to function but does that mean just things like day/night plugins and things that enhance it but can we use them to build?
We could just wait until they come back to specify us about the rules. But it’s not guaranteed they will message back so in my opinion. It’s best to work on it without completely relying on it. And plus, there’s not much plugins that only function in game. Since most plugins helps you with builds, guis, scripts, lighting and effects. Hope this message helps you.
