Proper support for the Linux platform

the regular android user does not have the power to do the crazy stuff that you can do on linux, unless their os is rooted. on top of that, hyperion has not yet become a part of the android app & they’ve been teasing it for sooo long.

You are really just moving the goalpost here. If this is the problem then it has nothing to do with Linux but its primary userbase. You can do these things on any platform.

Its already not worth it for them, and as you said, it poses a security risk and extra headache. All for miniscule amount of players, this is probably why we wont ever get Linux support.

Thing is, it’s easier to do it on Linux and harder to prevent it. You can also write a website in assembly. But do you? Most Android phones are very locked down and Android is different enough from Linux that supporting both isn’t the same.

In the end its a combination of “It’s not worth it” and “Cons outweighs pros”.

I wouldn’t necessarily say “never” anything can happen. But as of now it is pretty unlikely.

Sent a “bug report” for linux and android to have mmat and mmkat syscalls.
This might convince roblox to harden anticheat and hook into the kernel.

The moment they introduce a kernel-level anti-cheat is the moment I stop playing Roblox entirely. It’s not worth installing a rootkit just to play a game.

its the kernel that will protect roblox, not an anticheat

this would be much more possible nowadays now that flatpak exists, and much more worth it since gaming on linux is now possible and semi-popular

The suggestion that @Askofep posted would be a modification to the linux and android kernels, not a kernel level anticheat program. This may be slightly confusing if your only exposure to the linux and other kernels is via 3rd party programs likes Riot Vanguard.
