It doesn’t, it means Roblox has the right to do whatever they want with your IP. It’s like if you sold IP on a market place with an agreement that the person buying can use it however they want: you still have the rights to your IP, but the person who bought it also has rights to use your IP how ever they want.
tl;dr:
You have the rights to your IP and Roblox also has the rights to your IP. Your rights haven’t changed, besides that you can’t go after Roblox for using your IP in any way.

Fr, it’s sorta frustrating. I don’t want to team up with anyone I just want to develop a game by myself and not have to DM people and deal with their horrible communication skills or elitist attitude

Ok, just have to ask, what is stopping someone from working on an experience now and using that work for the contest? I would think that coding and testing take a lot more time than trying to “theme” the experience to whatever the contest decides. Gotta be the devil’s advocate here.

I dont believe that any IP made on Roblox is as affected as this is. From what I know roblox has the right to advertise themselves using your IP, but I dont know for sure.
Cant i just make the game, save it to file, put it to the game jam and publish the saved one to roblox?
Cant i just make 4 alt accounts and do it alone and if i win i get all 5000$
