I wouldn’t complain; they are generous enough to give the winning team a $1,500 GoGift Global Gift Card that can be used almost anywhere. That is very kind of them, and they certainly don’t have to do it, but they choose to.

Because there are other countries other than America lol and they can’t send cash in the mail, so you would need to send them your bank account details which is risky. Gift cards are just a much simpler process and work everywhere, it’s most likely a visa/mastercard type so that you can use them anywhere.

Last year voting was a nightmare because it was just thousands of links that people were expected to just filter through, with bigger voices advertising their games to their communities.
Will this method of voting be done again? If so, I’m discouraged from recommending this challenge to anybody.

Out of curiosity, if a solo dev wins, do they also win the other 3 or 4 gift cards? Or do they just win a gift card with $7,500 equivalent? Or do they just win $1,500 gift card for doing the work of 4 or 5 devs?

at least for this challenge, nothing in the terms of participation mentions anything about community voting (winners are chosen through the anonymous judging panel), so hopefully the idea was scrapped
either way, even if it wasn’t, i think it’s a good idea for anyone even remotely capable of making a submission to join the challenge, since it’s a good way to practice, connect with others, and create something in a new challenging environment

Roblox has different teams iirc
For example, Roblox won’t want exploiters banned (so they can still be used as statistics), but whoever is behind the anti-tamper does.
What’s probably happening here is that even Roblox staff themselves know guilded is inferior. They really don’t care about the amount of people using guilded because that’s just not what their job is.

Yeah they have different teams. That’s most likely the case. Makes no difference to me either way lol. Nobody wants to use Guilded…
