Roblox games load for about 3 seconds then instantly crash

Im still having the issue with my laptop with Windows 10. Roblox just will not open at all.
No error, no crash log. The Roblox process just runs in the background forever using 10 mb of memory

Try doing Win + R"taskmgr"; go to “Services”, and End the RobloxPlayerLauncher task and reopen Roblox. Also refer to Hyperion related solutions, follow the steps noted in Strategy Three and submit a crash dump.

I cannot make a crash dump because it doesn’t crash.

Hi Sam,

I’m somewhat confused. Regarding the last crash dump you provided in a DM, I informed you that your issue is a multithreading bug that becomes prominent on low-end machines, and a fix is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 7th, 2023. Are you experiencing any new issues that you would like to report?

Hello ChiefKeef,

We cannot be sure about the exact root cause of the issues you are facing until you send us a full crash report, as NMEs suggested Roblox games load for about 3 seconds then instantly crash - #319 by Prea_sure

can i send a crash dump from my friend who’s facing this issue? he tried everything on forum and nothing helped, and he can’t pm or post

Hello qmx,

Please go ahead. Ideally, send us a full crash dump as described in the post above. If you can provide the complete crash dump, we should be able to address the issue in less than an hour.

Greetings Bitdancer,

I’ve been facing this issue in an inconsistent manner for which, I unfortunately do not have any solid steps of reproduction.

Here’s the link to the private message containing the full crash dump generated by the latest version of the client.

I’m not fully sure if these are caused by Hyperion, but considering this has mostly been an issue within the past week or two, it seems to be an educated guess in my mind.

A few third party software that I usually run in parallel to the Roblox Client, which I believe may be causing interference with the client are an FPS Unlocker, Nvidia ShadowPlay, AMD Radeon Software, and possibly Lightshot (for PrntScr sceenshoting, which occasionally captures window focus away from the client).

Hopefully this helps patch any potentially overlooked issues with the current client version.

Hello ZEDD,

Thank you for providing the crash dump. After analyzing it, we have determined that the module Program Files\Audinate\Shared Files\mdnsNSP.dll is either unsigned or has an invalid signature.

Hello there Bitdancer,

First of all, I’d like to thank you taking the time to look into this. Much appreciated.

Secondarily, that is an excellent pointer! The DLL was a part of an outdated audio networking software that I no longer actively use. Uninstalling any known outdated and redundant software did absolute wonders!

After approximately an hour of testing (especially in games the issue was persistent in), the issue seems to have completely resolved as of now.

Thank you, once again for the prompt response and for the accurate indicator to the problem’s source. I sure would not have been able to figure this out on my own.

I’ll be sure to get in touch again with a new crash dump if the issue persists.

Cheers.

i have a similar issue. roblox just freezes and closes on its own a few seconds after if something that needs to be loaded happens

I have the same issue and I tried making a crash dump file but after reproducing the problem I find no crash dumps at all, neither in the logs folder or the folder I made with Procdump.

I have a thread discussing my problem: Roblox Player shuts down my laptop when I try opening Roblox

Hello ChiefKeef,

Your crash dump indicates that you are experiencing boot integrity issues. Most likely, you have disabled Driver Signature Enforcement or your Windows is booted in Test Mode.

I did everything you said but the error still comes up.

Hello ChiefKeef,

Could you please tell me what you did? Was the Driver Signature Enforcement off, or was the system in Test Mode?

my system is not in test mode, so I ran roblox with driver signature enforcement enabled and disabled, the error still comes out

Im talking about my other computer. It’s a different device with a different operating system.
I tried again to use Roblox on it, and it will not even open at all
