During the classic event, Bling Track items were promoted as “Limited” Items as is shown on the left of the screen. The items in questioned are labeled as “Limited” with a capital “L”, making it almost known to be the Roblox Limited brand and not just a limited time item.
I believe that these items should go Limited as they were promoted as during the event. Almost every time a Roblox item has been labelled as “Limited” it goes Limited making it confusing on how these items became overlooked.
I don’t think these items should go limited due to the advertising error not really applying to bling track items due to the fact that no one really expected them to go limited. I would much rather them stay offsale
I think Roblox pulled a fast one here, and when they said “Get this Limited Item,” they were referring to the fact that it would not be available for purchase forever.
They are advertised as "Limited’ not “limited”. Just like with Hatch Limiteds they show text displaying “Limited” and not the limited icon. This would just be false advertising.
It’s a weird situation, because this item originally never have the limited icon in the corner until it was updated. So, if plans for these items were for them to go limited, we would of never knew.
Given that the icon in my screenshot was set at 22h, that means it was updated within 2 hours. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the lack of limited icon for the sword originally was a bug since it waspresent for 22+ hours
Furthermore - if they were quick to update the Daemonshank to display the limited tag, then that means the lack of tag on the Bling track is intentional & thus they were not meant to go limited.
I don’t think we’re talking necessarily about intended behavior, more about deceptive advertising. Roblox constantly makes this mistake by calling items that are limited “limited” while other items that ACTUALLY go limited are called the same thing.
Fortunately they changed this, but obviously not for every item with this bug.
It would be fitting for them to fix this issue and make it limited, as it would set a consistent behavior for items with this wording, and they should set a precedent for items that are timed to say “limited time” instead of “limited”.
Considering that The Hunt and The Classic aired around the same time it’d be no wonder why players would make this mistake. Most of you only want this item offsale because it’d keep your precious “rare” status.
if the casing on “Limited” was small case ‘limited’ then you could absolutely infer that it was just 'limited to get, can no longer obtain" (assuming you can’t get the bling track items now)
Limited Item infers ROBLOX Limiteds
ROBLOX can say it was a mistake but its obvious that it can then be interpreted as misleading advertisement
I feel like this has been brought up and closed by staff before but I think the solution is just to make it limited even if it was an error on Roblox’s part.
