Save the Date: RDC 2020!

I just saw the Hotel and it looks amazing :star_struck:
I‘m still a bit too young to fly alone to America but i wish everyone a great time. I‘m also definitely going to watch the Stream.

It‘s my dream to see my favorite Devs someday. Hopefully the RDC is going to last for a long, long time

I wish everyone a good stay :+1:t3:

That’s not international - that’s still US based. The barriers to entry for US citizens is naturally much lower than that of international developers; some people, such as @Dev0mar literally can’t attend, even if they had the money, time and willingness to, due to legal complications to do with visas and stuff like that.

Still super ashamed, where is the recognition to the EU developers?

It is wayyyyyy too costly for us to fly all the way out to America, I was really expecting an RDC EU this year.

I agree, I am living in the EU and waited for the RDC all year. Very sad :frowning:

I’m so sad to hear that, @1TheNoobestNoob. I can’t attend either from my home in Norway, so I’ll guess it’s sad for us both?

I’d love to have EU again, like so many people from europe, even small like London 2017 !

Going to San Francisco is extremely expensive for EU people and only for a weekend.
Roblox is growing at the international, in France for example the community is growing quickly and is becoming big.

You have a bigger budget that we can clearly see from the quality of the past RDC, so why there is no EU RDC anymore since you now have a bigger budget !?

Also not July 24th, its someone I love’s birthday :eyes: uhuh

I don’t know much about Canada’s legal systems personally so I don’t know whether there’s similar legal complications wrt certain parts of the world, but I’d likely still argue that it’s not international enough due to geographical location. One event in each (longitudinal) hemisphere of the world would be enough methinks.

I know its really early to ask but does anyone know how the wave system this year is going to work with invitations? :grimacing:

Actually, Ontario is 3,123 km away from California which is relatively far.

Last year i went to RDC for the first time, i have heard the staff members shouting “See you guys next year in europe”, why isn’t RDC coming to europe again?

If roblox wants to become international, it means that RDC has to come to europe aswell.
The trip is just way too expensive to go from europe to the US.

Pro Tip: Fly into San Jose and take the train into San Francisco if you want to save money and don’t mind an hour an a half train ride.

Toronto to San Jose:

There are also developers who do a lot of work on Roblox but are still New Members because they don’t go on the DevForums making pointless replies so they can be a full member :man_shrugging:

This year we need to take a picture together next to a ruler so we can show Jalen that we’re way taller than her. :mechanical_arm: :mechanical_arm:

But what about the rest, now the people from europe have to pay 2000$ to go to RDC.
Roblox would have paid less money than the people from europe paying 2000$ each to go to the US

I think last year I spent around $2-3000 total, coming in from Ottawa. That was coming in two days early and leaving Sunday night.
