Absolutely agree - I don’t like much this new website. Furthermore, the space to the sides has been removed, so the page takes a lot much more space now - the whole screen! This is terrible for readability as I have to move my head to be able to read content. This is part of the fundaments of web design!
this website is incredibly unreadable, everything is too big
It’d be a lot better if we had more control over what got shown at us.
If I’m looking at the properties of lets say Texture I don’t need an example on what :FindFirstChild() does.
At its current state it feels like an info dump rather than a documentation.
quick, run and archive everything on devhub!!!
jokes aside, i am a little confused on why a whole new site needed to be made instead of just giving the main developer hub site a makeover but i guess it does look a bit better than devhub
its kinda buggy tho so i’m sticking with devhub for now
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t like the site alot at the moment due to the slowness and the DevHub being way easier to navigate. The new one is barren and boring.
well… if anyone here unironically thinks this new one is more readable than the old one then i am very surprised. i dont even need to explain why the new one is way worse. i dont care how fixed or up to date it is if its borderline unreadable.
Just saw this and my dissapointment cannot be measured
Never ever ever ever deprecate a working product if its intended successor is still in beta, ESPECIALLY if it functions worse than it did before
I cannot stress how astronomical this change could be. Modernization is not progress, its glorified mediocre
So, is the old documentation useless or both of the new and old one are same?
As someone who relies on light mode to keep me from passing out I don’t necessarily care for this
After attempting to integrate this into my work-flow, I feel disappointed.
This feels like something that needs easily 6 more months of work before releasing.
I don’t really like this update, it seems a bit bulky when everything on the old website was more compact.
Could we get an option to toggle a compact mode?
Yeah I know what you mean, the dev hub seemed more organized and it wasn’t a mess.
Hello, thank you for this wonderful announcement and wonderful new UI!
I wanted to give some feedback however, since I’m wondering why create.roblox.com/creations does not include the other tabs such as /docs.
It also appears it is missing an edit button to edit games immediately from the website itself, rather than having to open studio.
I understand this was only very recently launched, but these features I would consider essential and very much appreciated!
Wow, words can’t describe my feelings, I’m so excited to using the new Roblox site. It’s gonna be so amazing and cool.
But, I have a few questions.
Will Docs Site be less lag than the original document site?
Because I went to it and found out it actually took like a few second longer to find information and tutorials.
Yeah, I kinda feel that’s also a problem. Maybe Roblox can fix it and like what you said make an option for making it more compact?
Will this feature be readded? It helped make navigation very easy, feels like it should take the place of the second image as that seems pointless and intrusive.
It seems that RobloxScriptSecurity is not listed on any functions on specific pages such as UserGameSettings | Roblox Creator Documentation which could cause confusion.
Please include light mode for the site, dark mode hurts my eyes so much
I wanted to search for something like “TextWrapped” and it gives me 4 results. And 3 of them didn’t have anything about “TextWrapped” if I CTRL + F and search for it.
Also, everything is on one page, which sometimes is just chaos.
Also, for now, it’s not fast it’s slow. Searching on Google and visiting https://developer.roblox.com/ still is working better than the current documentation in Beta.
If the old one is going to be removed while the new one still being in that state, then I won’t be happy with it.
The side bar on the right is extremely cursed and the field where it’s scrollable seems to magically flip between working and not working
I agree with a lot of the other criticisms posted here too
