This potential bug concerns inaccurate game settings. Yesterday, the game I am working on started having game setting issues, specifically in the avatar R6/R15 section of the game settings. The game always forces me into R15 no matter what game setting I choose. There are only three options, and I tried all of them; nothing seemed to make the game R6.
It did start with me trying to “Publish a game as” since I forgot to turn on team collaboration on the original file, so I duplicated the game using the save as feature in Roblox studio. After that an auto-save fail error popped up when I restarted studio, I clicked “delete autosave” and the error disappeared. Around this time, the R15 bug starts to happen.
I found this on dev forums: Keeps spawning in R15 in Studio despite R6 settings
Some people have the same problem as I do, and it all started happening for all of us around these 10 days give or take.
There is no visual aid as it doesn’t bug out scripts or anything, just every time I join the game to test, it forces me into R15, though If I try to start a team test, it always works fine and puts me in R6.
I encountered this problem yesterday. I uninstalled Roblox Studio, and the first time I open it after reinstalling, it loads the correct R6. However, if I stop the game and start it again, it always switches back to R15. Everytime I reset my character it also switch back to R6.
Expected behavior
What I want to happen is pretty simple, I want the game to put me in R6 if my game setting is set to R6 and put me in R15 if my game setting is set to R15. Right now it is either stuck in R15 or stuck in R6.
