This potential bug concerns inaccurate game settings. Yesterday, the game I am working on started having game setting issues, specifically in the avatar R6/R15 section of the game settings. The game always forces me into R15 no matter what game setting I choose. There are only three options, and I tried all of them; nothing seemed to make the game R6.
It did start with me trying to “Publish a game as” since I forgot to turn on team collaboration on the original file, so I duplicated the game using the save as feature in Roblox studio. After that an auto-save fail error popped up when I restarted studio, I clicked “delete autosave” and the error disappeared. Around this time, the R15 bug starts to happen.
There is no visual aid as it doesn’t bug out scripts or anything, just every time I join the game to test, it forces me into R15, though If I try to start a team test, it always works fine and puts me in R6.
I encountered this problem yesterday. I uninstalled Roblox Studio, and the first time I open it after reinstalling, it loads the correct R6. However, if I stop the game and start it again, it always switches back to R15. Everytime I reset my character it also switch back to R6.
Expected behavior
What I want to happen is pretty simple, I want the game to put me in R6 if my game setting is set to R6 and put me in R15 if my game setting is set to R15. Right now it is either stuck in R15 or stuck in R6.
You should add any additional findings to the pre-existing Bug Report. Making additional Reports won’t make a difference, other than slowing down how long it takes for other bugs to be assigned to the correct team, and also making it more difficult for the engineers to track information and who they need to give progress updates to.
This topic will likely be closed as being a duplicate report.
This is my first report on studio bugs, I just quoted someone else’s report for context, I’m sorry if that is not allowed. But do any of you have solutions?
This is the first time I’ve made a report. I wasn’t familiar with the process, so I submitted the same thing twice. Once I realized the first one went through, I deleted the other one to avoid people blaming me. (I didn’t realize that I only deleted the DM; the report can only be deleted by moderators.)
I am really sorry if that caused any confusion. I literally got accepted into this bug report forum yesterday and am just trying to figure out all the UIs.
Both of your reports will be closed as duplicates. Do not make duplicate reports. As he mentioned, if you have anything to add, add a reply to the original report.
