No. It’s not like the two I mentioned are the only games that are allowed to use it. I actually wanted to make something like this for Hooked, but it wasn’t worth the development time, so we went with a minecraft-like inventory system and varied the grid size + max stack size to provide room for upgrades.
I wanted to do something like that but I can’t say I’m not glad we went with this style for an inventory. Pretty good learning experience + it’s fun to watch it randomly full up.
Guns are looking cool, obviously the UI is a placeholder I’m guessing? The maps could really use a change of lighting perhaps, maybe it’s the colours or the layout? but it doesn’t seem to “gel” together. Real old-style building mixed with a few new things like those CSG-trees looks really out of place. Anyway, I’m sure it’s going to be changed as you said, still a WIP.

It’s not centered. There’s too much shadow around the edge, makes it harder to read the smaller text. No information about what the game is about. What does ARC mean?
Font is nice and black should make it stand out, but it’s not appealing.
