As of right now, I’m working on optimizing The Stalker: Reborn as much as possible, so that it can run a lot better on low-spec devices.
So far I’ve had some notable success. I used to get 25 FPS on one of my school laptops at the maximum graphics quality, and now I get around 50-60 on average.
I actually had to implement occlusion culling into the lobby, which was an interesting challenge to say the least.
I had to divided the geometry in the lobby into a series of chunks, and occlusion nodes which link to chunks. At an interval of roughly 10 times a second, I check each chunk and try to raycast to a corresponding node. If I can raycast to at least one node, or I hit the chunk itself, the chunk is made visible.

Assuming you created the dinosaur in Blender and imported it into roblox? How many parts is it?
33 unions, very buggy in-game. Flashing unions causes corrupted unions to appear very quickly.
Maybe one of these days there’ll be a better way to import things from other programs.
I’m looking for somebody to build legos with me.
