What do you think about this test footage? Of my Game [Part 1]

I’m developing a game about caves and would like some feedback on how it looks. You will have to shoot entities and move through the cave.

I have additional ideas, which I will share in a future post.

And I want the game to be replayable.

Test video.

But you rated my old game, not the cave game, but it’s still fine.

Thought that was the same game. My bad.

it might be too bright for a cave if you ask me, other than that the graphics look great!
Oh and the camera shake could possibly give motion sickness, as I, someone who doesnt experience motion sickness often, has just experienced it. Only when you arent in first person though,
good work!

I will test making it darker and thanks for the feedback.

I’m not sure of the goal, but this would make for a really cool zombie map.
shadow and lighting really neat, take tools is well and clean. Nice

Nice job on the ui and camera. The brightness needs to lower down.

The amount of dust particles look like stuff from stranger things so u should lower it

Thanks i change the brightness. is this dark enough?

wayyy darker buddy also can you change how intense the blur of those lights are.

No personally it gives a very nice vibe also I think that isn’t blur but some billboard gui or particle effect cuz blur doesn’t do that from what I remember

OP correct me if Im wrong but this game isnt supposed to give nice vibes right? It looks like its supposed to be a horror game if you ask me (or something dark themed) so I dont think nice is a good thing rn

I meant in that way of horror :rage: imagine all those lights just shut or start flickering it would be more scary trust. Plus I already thought the guy would already know what to be doing since this isn’t his first time making a horror game. But I understand where ur coming from lol

Eh I just dont think its realistic for a mine to be this bright at all lol.
Ofc I’ve never been in a mine, but I assume they are kinda dark

There like a laten per step lol I think the problem is the amount of lateens there like 10 in the small hallway

Actually, I want it to be bright so the players can see easily.

I would lower the glare effect on the lights to accompany the darker lighting.

I will do that too. I had the same feeling

Nice job!

The first time I watched the gameplay I thought it was epic!

Then I watched it a second time after reading the comments.

I don’t mind the brightness. What caught my eye on the replay was that everything is the same color; everything is read/orange/yellow.

Maybe change the game lighting to be more of a blue/purple and leave the lights as orange/yellow.

That should make the overall game have more depth and really show off the particle effects.

Careful that this doesn’t collide with the scariness cuz a dark room is way more scary then a bright one

I will try that. I will send a picture if it’s good
