It is not 5 days, I have tried sponsoring my experience for over a week now. I also tried publishing it to an older experience (2 years old), and it still will not allow it.

Hi! I had that trouble too, I contact Roblox support and got the answer, here it is
"To be eligible for a Sponsored sort feature, the experience must adhere to our safety standards and community guidelines and cannot be newly created. If your experience has just been created, please try using the Sponsored sort feature in the next 7-10 days to see if your experience is eligible.
If after that time you are still unable to purchase a space in the Sponsored sort, you may need to wait longer and need to ensure that the experience adheres to the safety standards and community guidelines which can be found here (https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/203313410)."
So we have to wait 7-10 days now, that’s it

Day 14 and yet to be able to sponsor, I do not see anything wrong with the game as far as community guidelines go.

Day 18 and still not able, but I copy and pasted the whole game and scripts to another experience, And I was able to sponsor it, that may be not a solve but I finally sponsored my game!

Yes, I think somebody should put this in website bugs in bug reports ( I would but I can’t post in it. ). It’s probably something server side with roblox and the expierience. This kinda supports it;
I hope some staff member looks into this, or tells a possible soulution or what’s going on.

Hello everybody! 
I’ve tried sponsoring a game previously and got the same error, but made a new game and this is the error I’m receiving now:
This means that Roblox is doing safety checks of games before letting you to sponsor it. This might be a great idea, but sucks for developers who create games in a pretty short period of time.
It takes up to 5 days for a game to be quality-checked!

I am also experiencing this on my game. I can run advertisements on the game but not sponsors. This game has been around for a year and I am facing this issue.
