DevEx Processing - Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday 2024

Hey DevEx community,

Hope everyone had a great Halloween :ghost: !

Both Thanksgiving and the Winter holidays are near which is why we want to inform you of some key dates that may impact your DevEx request.

Thanksgiving :turkey:

We recommend you submit your DevEx request by November 18th to receive payment, otherwise, we will resume DevEx request review on December 2nd.

Winter Holiday :snowflake: :snowboarder:

We recommend you submit your DevEx request by December 8th to receive payment, otherwise, we will resume DevEx request review on January 2nd.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive during the holidays, it may take longer than normal to process your request.

Please visit our DevEx FAQ for more information.

Thank you,

Thank you so much for warning us Roblox you guys work so hard, the staff members need to spend time with their families and Iā€™m glad they are given this opportunity! Enjoy your holidays!

If banks around the world took a month long break it would cause utter chaos.

Hire people who can actually work during this month.

Good thing Roblox isnā€™t a bank.

We can guarantee 99% of roblox mods will have to work during these months

Isnā€™t devex powered by stripe? I donā€™t remember but it wouldnā€™t really make sense regardless considering it pauses on the 18th for the rest of the month

DevEx (Robux exchange) is powered by Tipalti. Youā€™ll get access to a supplier portal on your first exchange.

With each DevEx request, a team reviews if the Robux you exchange is legitimately earned from games and not laundered/stolen/bought. This human review is essential for every request, and thus the queue will stack up when the team gets their well-deserved holidays.

Stripe is (only) used for the Creator Marketplace, where creators receive 100% of the sale revenue. Since this is purely USD (no chance of laundering stolen Robux), iirc this payout doesnā€™t need review and will continue as normal.

Ahh ok, I was sorta confused. I still donā€™t know why robux has to pend if they go through this process for devex though ngl

The pending period is to prevent fraud, so transactions can be reverted.

For example if an account is stolen and the owner requests rollback, or if a large scam operation has been identified, they can recover your Robux before itā€™s been laundered away.

There are too many transactions for them to thoroughly review every single one of them. However, they can with DevEx requests. Itā€™s a last check before the Robux turns into actual cash.

People in other countries do not celebrate thanksgiving, thatā€™s a US exclusive holiday.

Christmas and Thanksgiving is a single day.

There is no excuse.

Hire more people rather than shutting down devex for two entire months.

People who want over-time pay, I suppose.

I wonder if the DevEx team is outsourced or if they actually work in the US and therefore need this Thanksgiving break lol

I submitted my request on November 1st, and I have not received my payment yet. This is not the first time his has happened; I had to wait an entire 11 days back in July to receive my payment. Iā€™m not trying to sound impatient, but receiving my payment as soon as possible is important to me. In other words, did they start the ā€œholiday breakā€ the second November began?

Same I submitted mines 5 minutes after 12:00AM Nov 1st yet my devex hasnā€™t even been submitted to the portal

Iā€™m also pretty worried. My DevEx has been pending for 29 days, itā€™s actually crazy. Iā€™ve been seeing posts of people saying theirs is taking 3+ weeks too

Oh, what are the chances. It appears my request is now on the website and its status is ā€œSubmittedā€ at the time of writing this. I have a feeling it took me questioning the delay to get them to look at it.
