EggBadges was initially the testing game of the egg hunt hub, which is still in the first link. I changed the hub to EggBadges because I attempted to add 136 portals to every game in Metaverse Champions, but gave up because I remembered that I would have to change every teleport script and the game was starting to lag. I decided to move it to EggBadges because I didn't feel like deleting everything for some reason. It was branded as an event hub after that.

Happy Memorial Day

Added

  • A new icon (and thumbnail) after 2 years (long overdue)
  • The construction of the new products building has completed (which is called Phil’s Products)
  • A new color palette (got bored of the old and bland (66,66,66) and (177, 177, 177) greys)
  • Most of the UI was remade from scratch because of many of the old methods I used being complete junk
  • A game menu (will be used for more stuff, but for now only shows Holiday Countdown and The Rolling of The Balls as those are the two other games I’m currently “working” on (haven’t updated Holiday Countdown in nearly a year))
  • Datastores are finally back! (using ProfileStore this time for everything)
  • EB Studios Member and Premium chat tags (forgot before or something)
  • Item purchasing thing in Phil’s Products (literally gui and a script taken from an old game I made, Buy Items, but in this place. I plan on adding some kind of reward for buying stuff with them them, similar to how Welcome to Bloxburg does it, rewarding the player with 10% value of whatever they purchased)

  • Construction zone (and sounds)

Changed

  • All badge images (“2023 background” (made it in 2023 and used it for one whole badge) instead of the original (excluding the placeholder and found badge in badge badges) and no more text clipping (I had to painstakingly recreate them all from scratch as I lost all of the original files other than a few of the man face images))
  • Walrus badge and image have been updated to a different one (I found one that was way less blurry and could actually be identifiable)
  • Ringo easter egg badges are now a new character that I made for the default cards (I lost the original files, didn’t want to recreate them, and was concerned about a certain music group striking down more of my items)
  • Moved the obby location to a more secluded and hidden place than it was before because of how I wanted to keep it in while adding far better obbies
  • Remade Four Corners (I hated the old version and decided to make it far better and more functional)
  • Moved the shirt dummy to the products building
  • Lighting is now Realistic (looks so much better than soft, especially in graphics level 10)
  • Shirt badge is no longer awarded automatically and requires you to go to the products building and click on the claim shirt badge button (this is so it can check inventories, I don’t want to prompt everyone to see their inventory when they join the game without them knowing what’s happening)
  • Changed the script that applies the statue code to actually wait until the description is applied before destroying itself
  • Locked the feedback system to be 13+
  • Self promotion easter egg is now for EB Studios
  • Sign text (changed to say server version; this update released in May 2025 and it previously said that the update should be finalized before 2025)
  • Sign location (moved by the server age sign)
  • Countdown board dates (Easter is the only one that needs to be changed anually for now)

Fixes

  • Statue gamepass prompt (never worked before because I put a localscript in workspace)
  • Proximity prompts not showing on the shirt dummy (it was set to custom style instead of default)
  • Fixed one of the tester’s usernames showing up twice on the board (thought I did this before)
  • UI no longer becomes invisible on respawn (deactivated ResetOnSpawn on all of them, which I thought I did a while ago)
  • Leaderboard doesn’t reset after respawn (rooted from the same thing as the one above, fixed by deactivated ResetOnSpawn)
  • Leaderboard button no longer changes the deactivated icon until it’s actually pressed (found this myself on accident, the icon was changing before you released it. I left the PressedImage as the image on accident when I update)
  • Walrus is back (I deleted the gui for some reason at some point)

POSTPONED

Added

  • The automatic chat messaging system (tips and stuff, disabled it when the TextChatService came out since I didn’t know how to make it work with it)
  • Settings menu (been in storage for two years, now with a way to disable the tip messages and change the music volume)
  • AFK Tag (something in the overhead gui, been in storage for two years)
  • A physical products building (donations and gamepasses will be moved to a building instead of taking up space on the gui)
  • TRCC (Totally Reliable Construction Company) has set up a construction zone for the new products building (products are currently in a stand near it)
  • Server age script (I deleted it unintentionally like two years ago and didn’t notice :man_facepalming:)
  • A lot more text has UIStroke
  • The countdown board (added in 1.7.1 for christmas and removed ever since, this one is a new one with some major American holidays)

Removed

  • Products menu
  • Classic hub (had no reason to keep it as it was unoptimized and a broken disaster with nothing in it)
  • The floor (I’ve been staring at this checkered tile floor since this games release and finally have had enough of it. This is the start of the overhaul that should hopefully be coming out in the next update)
  • Four corners no longer prints the color (simply haven’t bothered disabling it before)

Changed

  • The sign’s text has been changed for the first time in three years
  • The feedback system (sends directly to the Guilded server instead of using a datastore and gui)
  • The overhead gui is now invisible to the player that it’s parented to
  • Easter egg gui (now far better and shows all badges)
  • Moved the code gui section to settings (now that that menu exists and the products one was removed)
  • Update log (better, more organized, and (somewhat) automatically updates (i still have to make the button, but it fetches the update information rather than making me do it)) (this took me like 3 hours to make, with 2 hours being spent trying to figure out why the link wasn’t working (I tried /Versions (my versions folder) and /content seperately, but finally figured out that it had to be /content/Versions/x at the end))
  • Grass is now grass :exploding_head: (previously it was just grey on the tiled floor, this looks so much better)
  • The server age sign has been changed for the third time (looked kind of out of place with the new grass, so I made it into a sinking brick wall)
  • Updated the materials to the 2022 variants (didn’t even know that you could do this)
  • Loading screen (before it just had loading text and a circle that never loaded)

Postponed

  • Code system (currently programmed to just say the code doesn’t exist)
  • Saving settings (currently will reset when you rejoin the game)

Removed

  • The classic hub button (The area it was in got deleted as it was awful and didn’t even have anything in it)

Fixes

  • Easter egg GUI shows again when the button is clicked (I was testing something a while ago and accidentally disabled the screengui instead of making the frame invisible)
  • Classic hub is no longer in the active section of the event hub gui
  • Easter egg GUI no longer has a bunch of blank buttons (turns out I did in fact add all of the badges to it, but never added the images (which will be added in 1.8.6))

Planning to replace the teleporting scripts in March, due to the teleport API update.

Update: Not planning on updating it for awhile.

I made a small update, no more until Friday/Saturday.

  • Anchored the obby & made it easier
  • Fresh loading screen image so that it’s not stretched.
  • Made a tip GUI (accidentally put 50 as 100, 100 as 1000, 1000 as 10000, 100000 as 1000000, 1000000 as 50, fixed it after tested.)
  • I’ve deleted a few messages in this thread to make it cleaner.

So, uh, I might make a trail shop when I add them, not sure. The ads, I might add in April. Not sure about the premium/obby things, maybe April or May?.

Updated the baseplate by adding a part with a checker texture & changed the grass color so that the decoration would go with it, unfortunately, the player has to play on low graphics to have the grass stay still.

I just found out that there are some errors & you can’t teleport to old hubs, I’ll attempt to fix it by Sunday.

  • Changed the music to this made by these guys because the music I made was getting obnoxious.
  • Made the UI better (going to change it more on Sunday.)
  • Made it so you can get the Luobu items in the hub for free.
  • The contributors pictures update when they change their avatar.
  • Added a Luobu Party hub.

I fixed everything, you can get the Luobu week 3 items in the hub now.

Working on trails.

I’ve been wanting to work on another thing for a few days now, it’ll probably take a day to a week to finish. I’ll finish a few things before I start it.

Working on the Nerf hub, releasing within 30 minutes.

7/31-8/1 update overview

UPDATE WILL COME OUT TONIGHT

I’ll talk about the new tab in the morning (around midnight)

Decided not to make it, instead I made a tutorial button for the promocode tab, it required me to change like 5 scripts because of the grid layout, I will probably delete the close button and make it so you can close it by pressing the same button to open it in the future.

Most of the updates with buttons inside of a tab require me to make another frame because I use grid layouts. I have to change a bunch of scripts to open the frames, close it, etc.
