Highlights don't render when switching between apps on mobile devices

My game Mini Empires takes use of Highlight objects to visually differentiate between different teams/factions, and get dynamically adjusted to appear more prominent as the player zooms out.

When switching back and forth to the Roblox app on a mobile device, when the Roblox app regains focus the rendering engine seems to refresh highlights completely, causing them to stop rendering.

I’m unsure what exactly happens behind the scenes, but this is what I could tell from the video that I was sent.

This issue was brought to my attention by one of my players.

How to reproduce

When a Highlight is rendered, switch to a different app then back to the Roblox app:

Expected behavior

I expect highlights to keep rendering after players switch back and forth between the Roblox app and another app.

Are you using the highlight lines or the highlight fill?

This bug affects both, highlight outlines and highlight fill.
