Alot of instinct reactions to this, give it a chance people im sure itll become normalised with time.
Has this been added to Mac? I updated my studio, which gave me a slight change in UI, as well as the new logo, but the app icon is still the same.
before:
dorito/ cheezit appearance. very tasteful and likeable.
now:
completely tasteless, does not illicit hunger. The L’s feel mocking, I think the community has taken the L on this one.

What is with the insane amount of logo rebrands Roblox goes through? Can we please just stick to one? I can’t think of any other company that changes their logo as much as Roblox does.
Regarding this new logo though, I dont mind it, but I think the gradient would look better if it was the same positioning as the Roblox logo’s gradient instead of through the middle. Even better, just go completely flat.

I don’t really like to critique things that aren’t my expertise (such as graphic design) but it doesn’t look good when it isn’t by itself, especially when paired with such a flat, modern, minimalistic website. It just feels so out of place in my opinion.
I think this is a case of good taste but bad execution unfortunately.

I don’t think it should be used on the website personally, at least with the gradient. As an app icon, sure. But not when paired with such a simplistic design.
They even use a flat version on the favicon.

Actually, I think the old studio logo looks more like the logo just got sliced in half. Doesn’t look all that like to Doritos.
It looks absolutely horrible on a white background, please make it without that gradient so it looks good anywhere. Other than that it looks pretty good!
This is a big improvement from the minimalist sort of logo!

I said it in my other post, but I like the old logo better. It is much simpler and the color is flat. This logo is good, but the color gradient doesn’t look good. If there was no gradient, I would like it.

I don’t mind the new look but I really think a flat version should be used on websites, even the DevForum’s favicon has a flat design.

Also want to emphasize that I don’t think logos with gradients look bad, I just don’t think that this is a great execution.
Why not make it consistent with the Roblox website and use the flat icon on the top left, and then the 3D icon for the app icon?

I personally dislike the new logo, mainly just due to the shading. Also, where is the ‘S’?
Other than my personal preference, the logo is good.

I personally sort of like the new logo for the forums, but like others from this thread I can get over how there is a gradient on it. Maybe provide the forum a before and after, like the old logo and the new logo and let people give you their input on it and what changes they want to it. Like making it a flat design rather than 3D gradient. Other wise, I like the new changes!

a Flat design does look a lot better in my opinion it looks more like roblox instead of a design soft ware like adobe. p.s looks great without the shading we don’t need a ray traced RTX roblox dev forum logo XD

When this first got leaked, I was hesitant, but its clear that the feedback was heard as the issues with the new icon have been fixed. I genuinely love the return to a more expressive icon, and while it will take some time to get used to I believe that this new one will be remembered a bit more fondly than the last as it does have more personality.
Looks cool, I do see an S in it. Going to miss Welcome to Venezia on the studio loading page though

I think the ‘S’ shape has something to do with the two parts being merged, as this person showed. Still doesn’t make me like it anymore lol.
I actually like the gradient & the new logo, it looks fantastic from far away and I can’t wait for these changes to be applied to other logos
