We are super excited to launch major improvements to the Search and Discovery experience in the Creator Marketplace. We’ve been listening closely to your feedback, particularly around the audio search, and believe that these upgrades will significantly improve your ability to find all the content you need to continue building incredible experiences.
Semantic Search Results better understand user intent
Moving beyond matching search terms with asset names, the Creator Marketplace now employs semantic search to better decipher user intent and map this to a wider range of relevant content.
Semantic Search supports long queries, detailed/descriptive queries, multilingual queries, and more. This search experience is now available for models, audio, meshes, and images in the Creator Marketplace. Here are some examples!
Previously, group assets were not discoverable by default and required enabling content from unverified creators. Now, group assets will be discoverable based on the ID/Phone verification status of the user who last updated the asset.
Please let us know if you have any feedback, questions, or notable experiences when using these features. Your input helps us continue to iterate and improve the search and discovery experience in the Creator Marketplace. This work aims to ensure that we connect you with the best content to accelerate your creation processes.
This is a great change. I’d still like to see more filtering options, such as excluding Roblox created audio, transparent image filtering (for things like icons), sorting models by date created, etc. Also, the option for unverified users toggling with audios doesn’t make any sense. It’s not like they can add a malicious script into an audio. It would also be cool if there was an option to insert a model without the scripts.
I’m always for improving anything, but this is something I can most definitively get behind.
I feel like a good addition to assets when it comes to the marketplace would be asset tags, a bit like a hashtag but for an asset, so we can add tags to like a house: architecture, home, house, etc, etc, and I think we should be able to search with tags.
This is my way of making a suggestion that I think should be implemented.
I’ve mostly had a good time with finding licensed music uploaded by Roblox, but sound effects have always taken me ages to find what I’m exactly looking for. Even music had their issues with being unable to search for a genre easily, so I’m really glad these improvements are here and I’m hoping they’ll make DX way better
Would be great to bring some of these improvements to game search. As of now, the search experience for games remains a disaster with irrelevant games appearing with simple search terms.
This is an absolute game changer in my eyes! This actually makes the toolbox useful and helpful when looking for necessary resources. Previously, it felt like trying to find a needle in a field of haystacks. Thank you so much to the team for this huge improvement!
This is a great update! Will save a LOT of time, but… what about fonts?
We can search them on the website, but not on the toolbox. Fonts are useful but you can search them by the name ONLY on the Marketplace.
This will be a big improvement for the current toolbox and will be so necessary once the audio, video, and other categories become more open-marketplace than they are now.
