Semi-Realistic Storm Chasing Kit

This is a tornado script free for use in all of your games.
It includes:
-Distance calculating & Windspeed values.
-Advanced EF Scale system.
-Fully editable code.
It does not include:
-Car support.
-Full storm system.
How to use it?
Place it under a part named anything.
To make the tornado pick them up name the parts eg. 115 will get picked up when its strength reaches that windspeed or upwards.
Done.

Video:

Upper Bound and lower bounds shown.

Notes:
-Edit scripts and properties according to your needs.
-Set the tornado model to CanCollide off.

I never expected this little project to get so far I might as well make this a full system. Thanks for all of your support. Just one day too!

Nice, thanks for sharing, I am checking it out now!

Offhand does it pick up mobile homes in Oklahoma, or Dorothy and her dog? Or do I need to script that?

Also in your posted .rbxm, maybe have it under a part or parts so there is a working example… I will continue to look at the script and what you mean by ‘How to use it?
Place it under a part named anything.
Name parts according what strength you want the tornado to pick it up at
Done.’

Sometimes Done is easier for ones that have already done it…

and are you saying each part need to have what… All pulled in by the

for i, hit in pairs(workspace:GetDescendants()) do

also what are all the Delete scripts for?

EDIT 3.7
ya so what the flip is wind, a string value…

The Delete scripts are used to make the tornado drop the objects so they dont fly off into infinity until the tornado weakens too much. The wind problem can be solved by updating the references to all of the values. To make the tornado pick them up name the parts eg. 115 will get picked up when its strength reaches that windspeed or upwards. Hope this helped! EDIT: You can make the homes different strength by changing their slab threshold ( the point that they get completely destroyed)

I am wondering, what do you mean?
You say: “Place it under a part named anything”
But then say: “Name parts according what strength you want the tornado to pick it up at”

Kind of confusing, any answer?

That will explain it. To avoid more confusion i will edit the post.

Nice! I will certainly credit you no matter what, because I am fascinated with meteorology and tornadoes/storms.

Leave while you can traveler! I’ve been on this Forum for near 5 digity’ years and it hasn’t been worth it.

Wow! This is really good for free, all you need is to put particles in your tornado and it really works good for a free script! 10/10
It’s very easy to use, also why am I giving a review on the dev forum?
