SimpleWeather Plugin(Update!)

Hello everyone! After days and hours of programming, I’ve come up with a system to allow real life weather in your game. If it’s raining in the location you selected then it’s raining ingame. This works by using a weather API which you will have to make, but remember no sharing this API or you could overload it! You can get your API key here. Weather API - OpenWeatherMap

After clicking the link, find current weather, then click subscribe. After that find free, then get API key. From there it’s self explanatory. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Also, this website is safe, it’s owned by a weather company I’ve been using for years.

Update: Added Thunder, Fog, Clear, Overcast, Broken Clouds, and UI Scale Fixed

This Plugin Is Only Meant To Work Ingame For Your User’s Experience, Unless You Want Me To Add Studio Support

Great! Just a few questions…

  1. What weathers are included? Snow, Storm, Fog, Haze…
  2. Which region is it? Could it be modified? Does it depend on the server IP adress?

Rain, Thunder, Hurricane, Cloudy, Fog , Snow, and more to come. It depends on the api you create through the instructions above. If you have any other questions let me know.

I hope I’ll never see hurricanes in my game… It’s an island.
Plus I’ll probably be dead irl ngl

This is cool! I used to use the API for a discord bot, to display the weather, but this is an even better use.

This is a really cool concept! This morning, I was thinking of adding a similar system to my website with that exact API!

Question, why is it a plugin? Couldn’t it just be a script model you can put in your game?

Also, I’m pressing the plugin button and it’s doing nothing…

EDIT 2: It did work, but I had to be in-game. That should not happen, just make it reparent the GUI into game.CoreGui when in studio…!

This plugin is pretty bad no offense, but I have to join a game to even do anything, I type the stuff, and now… where do I get the script? I found a script but it just changes a non-existant TextLabel’s text and there are a ton of errors.

It seems like a you issue, it working for everyone else.

Also, maybe try reading the instructions. The script is in service script service, and API and city is in server storage

It’s meant to be ingame not in studio so you can see it change in studio
