Top developers, not employees.
@RaterixRGL but what’s the big deal? The job is a hybrid of in-person and remote work. If someone doesn’t have the means to move to California for 12 weeks, the job isn’t for them.
It’s not like this job opportunity is the only one you will get. I’m sure Roblox will or already has other fully remote jobs.

Could you imagine forcing people to move, to then say “only come in here and there”? The work can obviously be done 100% remote, just like during the 2020 COVID pandemic.

When someone is applying for a job, it’s their responsibility to know what they are applying for.
We don’t know 100% for sure if the work can be done all remotely, but some things come with in-person work that can’t be felt remotely.
If someone doesn’t like coming into an office, then the job isn’t for them. I also want to add that in-person work isn’t inherently had. All workplaces are different.

You’ll also receive a Life at Roblox guide that helps you identify different housing options as you decide which neighborhoods/options best fit to what you’re looking for.

Yes, while that is true but a Software Engineer at Roblox is at the TD1 (Technical Director) level, where the total compensation can reach up to $1.2M per year, and salaries may differ depending on many factors
There are roles such as data center operators, content moderators, and call center workers, as they require offsite working. Similarly, those with a “niche skill set or significant institutional knowledge could continue to work remotely.
