As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to migrate to a paid-access title.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because:
- I often use discord members from my community to test a game prior to release, if I release the game as paid access those same testers have no way to access the game they helped make without paying a fee.
- I can put promotionals in my other games / a free demo of the main game, offering either a discount or free-access to the game if they’re in a certain percentile of a KPI group. Long term it’d be nice to be able to offer this same promotional functionality with advertisements, sponsorships, and maybe even UGC accessories.
- If I have a free-to-play game currently and wish to make it paid-access for future users I can automatically grant access to any user who has already entered the game, thus preserving the community its created.
