I know it’s February now, but I want to see what you guys are working on in 2025! Use this thread throughout the year to show us what you are working on, and keep each other motivated! Lets continue to have a productive and great 2025
im working on learning the entirety of data stores.
(update): they’re wayyyy too hard and difficult to learn. they dont even make any sense. i give up. im probably never gonna use it because ill be doing commissions instead.
Me and my team are currently developing a life-simulation driving game set in a fictional Scottish town. I’m personally starting to learn how to create 3D models in Blender.
Wahaaaaay, a 2025 version, finally. Always a month late for some reason. Anyways, here’s an update on my 1920’s Open World Ireland map, for my Irish War of Independence game:
Here’s an example of how they’ll look in the map so far. The car isn’t mine, just temporary until I make my own slightly lower-poly one :
Cloudy weather:
I haven’t bothered with paths / sidewalks / street furniture yet, as I was just seeing how they’d look in the map with the current weather system, and so far I’m happy. Once I have as much variations as I can make, I’ll move on to other assets and then some town / village / city map layouts.
Here’s a little bit of a city, but only blocked out for now, until
I make some detailed city buildings unfortunately.
Nothing too impressive at the mo, but once I have more assets made, it’ll just be a matter of popping things in places where they look nice.
Thanks for reading
Here’s 𝕮𝒚𝖗𝖔𝖉𝖎𝖎𝖑. I’ll keep this one short, as I’ve already posted about it in What are you working on currently? (2024)
So basically I just made some low-poly cottage style houses in Blender, and the bridge was just made in Roblox.
Working on a plugin that makes procedural terrain within the editor. Early days atm, but a key feature is to automatically create island type terrains:
Our studio is working on a massive and innovative souls-like. With around 20 bosses and 15 areas, it will be one of the largest campaigns ever built on Roblox when released. It’s also hugely technically advanced, using completely custom collisions, physics, movement, and network systems, shown here:
The game features completely unique models, animations, and a full-fledged multi-hour soundtrack.
Along with that, we’re using Volumika, Elttob’s advanced volumetric lighting system for our visuals: https://x.com/GamesIlliterate/status/1872170266769625394
