[OGC] Guide to the Group, Game, and Events

Rules

Here at OGC we strive to provide a family-friendly environment and community. It is an expectation to follow all Roblox rules: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/203313410-Roblox-Community-Rules

Here are some OGC specific rules:

  • Do not pose, pretend, or roleplay as a staff member.
  • Do not get involved in drama. Gossiping and talking behind other’s back is hurtful and disrespectful.
  • Do not directly advertise. Discussing a gymnastics team is allowed, but do not attempt to recruit members here.
  • Share the gym equipment. Be mindful of other players, and if necessary, take turns.
  • Do not post chainmail or links to “free robux generators”. These are scams and will automatically be deleted from the group wall.
  • Do not beg for a staff role or admin commands. These are earned, and applications are open for staff positions periodically.
  • Trolling or disturbing other players is not tolerated.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • "When can I sign up for the competition?"
You can sign up for the competition every single month, at the very start (generally the first day or two). Signups are posted on the group wall, as well as our social media.

  • "How do I sign up?"
You can sign up by going to the group shout (when they’re posted), and click on the sign up link. You are then directed to our official Tweet with the Google forms link. On the form it will ask for your username, what time you want to compete, etc.

  • "How do I become a staff member?"
Staff applications open periodically on our Discord server. Keep an eye out!

  • "Do I need Twitter to sign up?"
No, you do not need a Twitter account to sign up or participate in the competition. Having a social media account isn’t a requirement to enter competitions.

  • "Can I be coached?"
Yes! Coaches host practices and training camps in the group. It will be posted on the group shout when there is one.

  • "Why can’t I use floor music?"
In April 2022 Roblox made all audios over 6 seconds private. That means floor music no longer works until Roblox releases an update allowing developers to make their audios public.

  • "Can you ally with my group?"
We accept ally requests from groups that meet the requirements. You can view the requirements here. If you believe you reached them, send a request.

  • "How do I level up?"
At OGC you select the level that best suits your skill level. You want it to be challenging, but not impossible. Further down on this guide lists the level requirements, and it’s also on a poster in the gym.

Competitions

We host gymnastic competitions monthly. Ten months of the year we have open competitions, where anyone can compete unless they are a judge or helper without prior permission/notice. In June and December, we have closed competitions. Closed competitions are exclusively for gymnasts who have received a medal at a previous competition that timeframe (January-May medalists qualify for the June competition for example). The platinum level is only offered at these biyearly closed competitions.

Signups for competitions generally come out at the 1st of any given month, and stay open for around 3-4 days (they close once spots fill up). The signups will be posted on our Twitter: www.twitter.com/RobloxGymnastic
After they close, you cannot participate in that competition if you did not sign up.

After signups close, schedules will be released. Each gymnast is scheduled for a time that they stated they could attend based on their schedule and timezone. Each gymnast will perform their routines and receive scores at their scheduled time.

It is recommended you arrive at least fifteen minutes early in case the server fills up. If you are not competing but would like to spectate, we host a livestream on our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/c/RobloxGymnastics

Fun Activities

Every Saturday (apart from when competitions are held) we host fun activities for players to participate in. This includes game nights, pool parties, movies, and more! These will always be hosted in the gym unless otherwise specified.

Staff Applications

Staff Applications open periodically. They open on next near February. Check our Twitter for more updates.
