Will colored folders be out eventually? It seems like it would be very easy to implement, and there have been multiple feature requests for this over the past 9 years.
Keeping organised is hard, especially with bigger games that involve more assets and members involved.
I propose the idea of color coding to be implemented into the Explorer tab and others applicable: this will allow us to stay organised and quickly be able to differentiate specific assets.
I believe this would improve the QOL of developers, as well as improving accessibility for all users. Many other applications benefit from this organisation system; it allows organised collaborative editing…
If you have a big framework like mine
You may notice how hard it is to keep things organized, and it brings a headache (as someone responded with). What would REALLY help are colored folders. It would be awesome to be able to color a folder instance with a Color3 value (Just change the hue), so we can better organize large projects. Obviously, this would only appear in studio and would simply change the color of the folder icon in the Explorer window.
When you have several folders in one place it becomes a bit tough to quickly find what you’re after:

It would be handy if Roblox had like 10 choices for different folder icons (as a new property) to help organize our projects - that’s what the folders are for after all.

Organization is a key part of a development workflow on any platform. With the rapid expansion of Roblox experiences as well as development teams on Roblox, Studio’s asset manager is becoming harder to keep organized when working.
The Issue At Hand
The Asset Manager in Studio is split up into 5 main folders: Places, Images, Meshes, Packages and Audio. With a large scale experience, these folders fill up extremely quickly and it gets to the point where things become unorganized when you have a l…
As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to group similar objects of the same class in a developer view, such as grouping scripts together that have similar characteristics that I want to keep track of.
What I mean is, currently I am using a google doc to track which scripts I can do what with (Can I copy it over to another place in my universe safely, is this an important script, etc). It gets really annoying when I have to go back to the doc every single time to see if it’s safe to cop…
