Using a VPN Can Cause Roblox Account Issues & Locks You Out and Revokes Your Verified Mail

Using a VPN while accessing a Roblox account can lead to various security-related issues. If you unlucky enough your account verified mail gets revoked

issue is verified email gets removed from account so account verification or account recovery isnt possible,If you try to contact Roblox Support they explain that they cannot verify ownership

if i wasnt secured my account with phone number my account will be gone. You cant really recover your account if you dont have phone number verification because ur mail gets revoked

my devfroum account mail also got revoked
(BEFORE)

(AFTER)

as you can see it says no attached mail to my account but check this out

Expected behavior

  • My verified email should remain linked to my account permanently unless I manually remove it.

  • Logging in remotely from other locations or networks (such as VPNs) should not make emails trigger email revocation or create account security issues.

  • If additional verification is needed, Roblox should provide a way to confirm ownership rather than automatically removing the email.

  • I should able to regain my account with my confirmed email address without difficulty, without any unexpected restrictions.

Actual Behavior:

  • Verified Email Gets Revoked

  • Account Access Becomes Restricted

  • Support Fails to Verify Ownership

  • Recovery Becomes Impossible

My email was fully verified on my Roblox account but it got revoked without my action. As you can see from the proof my email was previously linked and verified. However, now its missing from my account, which prevents from recovering it. I suspect this may be due to using a VPN, and i heard others experiencing similar issues.

I see Turkish words in your email, so I will assume that you live in TĂĽrkiye (Turkey).

Since Roblox is banned here, I have to use a VPN constantly to access the platform. As a result, my account naturally gets flagged with a “Security Notification” due to logins from multiple different countries throughout the day. You’re likely experiencing the same issue since you also need to use a VPN or other alternatives to change your location, so it’s understandable.

That being said, if we look at this objectively, the system is working as intended and should remain unchanged. In a normal scenario—where Roblox isn’t banned—logging in from multiple different countries would be unusual behavior. In such cases, forcing a password reset and securing the account is one of the best security measures Roblox can implement, and it should stay that way.

I’ve seen many users protected from hackers because of this, so I don’t want to be selfish. It serves its purpose and genuinely helps most people. However, resetting the verified email is completely unnecessary and creates a serious issue that makes account recovery nearly impossible.

(Off-topic, but I hope Roblox gets unbanned in my country one day. Unfortunately, it’s never a priority amid all the chaos in the current agenda.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, UraloÄźlu, previously stated that Roblox could be unbanned if they remove the specified content and appeal to the court, but there has been no progress for months.)

Regarding your other point about the “Security Notification” removing the verified email from the account—this issue has already been reported multiple times, including by you. Resetting the email is absurd and creates a serious flaw that ensures the user can never regain access to their account.

Since you’ve already linked existing reports that describe the exact same problem, and you’ve also reported it yourself, I don’t really see the point of reporting it again.

I’ll go ahead and link your bug report:

I do not believe that VPN’s are the main cause of this issue as my account was never logged into using one (or any kind of proxy service). As far as I can remember, my Roblox account was locked after my router’s IP Address changed once and I logged into the Roblox account using my new IP Address. The Roblox account was brand new. (only two ip addresses ever logged into it, my old and new one, providing that no malicious actors somehow managed to get access to my account. but they didn’t, because if they did they definitely would have tried to loot it).

My account was not locked instantly, however. It was about a day after I started using my new IP Address that my account got locked mid-game whilst I was playing. I received a prompt mid-game that my account had been logged into by a new location and then I got logged out of it everywhere. I then proceeded to log into my Roblox account on the Roblox website after investigating my email’s inbox for any suspicious activity, and then that was when I was greeted with this Security Notification prompt.

Another alt account that I made at the same hour that I made the account that I want to recover was locked too (this account was never used, I only registered it on the Roblox website, and that was it), but that one is not important to me. I think this account locking event happens in waves. Because sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn’t.

I have also used VPN services, proxies, etc on my other main accounts, and so far they haven’t been locked yet. I really hope that they don’t, because I am already having enough trouble attempting to recover just one of them.

This is a very strange issue, but I think that all we can do at the moment is sit patiently and hope for any potential updates to our posts.
