Capture The Castle Beta-Release! / Devlog #11

Here’s how the game works: Both teams spawn in a small castle. The goal is to capture the other teams castle. To achieve this, you have to get inside of the castle. You fight with medieval weapons, such as swords and bows.

Capture The Castle! / Devlog #10 SFX, Logo

Welcome to my 11. devlog! I finally published the game as a Beta-version to do some testing, before I advertise it. here’s the game link:

Here’s what I did in the last weeks:

Logo/Thumbnails:
I made some thumbnails and a game logo:

Logo3

They are not fully done yet, I’m going to improve them a bit.

SFX
If added more sounds to the game.

Improved mobile support:
I added mobile buttons, so it’s a better experience for mobile players.
(The arrangement of the buttons look a bit different in the final version)

If you have anything I could improve in the game or in the devlog, please tell me, I appreciate any feedback.

If you would like to be informed about the game, you can join my group here: Medieval Clothings - Roblox

Things I’ll do next:

  • Add the rest of the SFX
  • Find testers for the game
  • Improve the thumbnails
  • Fix bugs, if there are any
  • After everything is done, start advertising the game

Thanks for reading

holy saturation, batman!!! if your game isn’t for really young kids, PLEASE save our eyes and turn saturation down and contrast up.

To be honest I don’t know how to do that. I’m new to Lua. Search up Testing area if you want, you do not have to come to my game.

And can you tell me what “Children” is? And also my game isn’t for really young kids.

I meant “Children” in coding. And so far I’ve experimented with terrain, gameplay in spawn and all UI. I am experienced in Scratch but not Lua. And do you have any coding tips for me?

Alright thanks for the feedback, I’m going to do that. Is it only for the thumbnails or also for the logo?

Let’s say you have a folder with parts in it. The folder is the parent and the part is the child.

I’d start with some basic scripting tutorials. I’d recommend BrawlDev.

everything in-game is too much. logo is perfect. consider fiddling with exposurecompensation, saturation, brightness, and contrast to achieve the best look.
